"Lost Hope" - Germany '44

October 1944. The Ardennes forests blaze beneath an iron-gray sky, their ancient oaks and firs cloaked in ruby red and burning orange as Hallows Eve draws near. A battered German division, pulled from the crumbling frontline, has been ordered into this forgotten corner of the region to investigate an old castle stronghold. Once a vital garrison, the fortress now stands silent; its entire occupying battalion vanished without trace, dismissed by high command as traitors or deserters. Yet something stirs within its moss-stained walls. A small advance squad has already pushed ahead through the whispering woods to secure the grounds, only to find the air thick with unseen eyes. The stones seem to listen. History itself murmurs from the battlements. And deep in the flame-lit trees, the forest watches back.
