Yuma Proving Ground is a large military testing facility in southwestern Arizona where advanced vehicles, equipment, and weapons systems are evaluated under demanding desert conditions. Its expansive terrain provides an ideal environment for testing performance, durability, mobility, and reliability in extreme heat, rugged landscapes, and dry conditions. The facility plays an important role in ensuring that military technology can withstand challenging environments before being put into operational use.
