Welcome to the finest new storm chasing game! You can drive around, and see record tornados! The fictional state of windora has always experienced severe weather, but everything changed after a series of devastating tornado outbreaks in the early 2020s. Entire communities were left damaged, critical infrastructure was destroyed, and meteorologists realized that existing forecasting methods weren't enough to provide the warning time people needed. The disasters sparked a statewide effort to better understand the most dangerous storms. To meet that challenge, leading universities, National Weather Service partners, emergency management agencies, and private meteorologists established Project Updraft. The initiative was created to place research teams directly in the path of severe storms, collecting real-time data on tornadoes, hail, wind, and supercells. Their mission is simple: improve forecasts, increase warning times, and help protect the people of Windora from future outbreaks.
