It made an ideal place for the Techno Union to set up a research station, headed by Kul Teska. The Facility was used to produce the Gravity Weapon, which goal was to collapse the Naboo sun, and destroy the Naboo System. Behpour had a core of green acidic lava that often burned its way to the surface forming lakes and rivers of acid. The acid burning up created amazing rock formations.
