~The Gray Whale Airship~

The Gray Whale Airship was originally a German L 31 R-class zeppelin, but William Izanov got hold of it, and he is also the owner of Radio Moscow. The Zeppelin R Class was a type of rigid airship developed by Zeppelin Luftschiffbau in 1916 for use by the Imperial German Navy and the German Army for bombing and naval patrol work. During WWII, the Gray Whale was built to bomb small towns in South Western Russia. In total, the Gray Whale killed about 400 people. In 1945 it was put out of service, and was to be scrapped. Eventually, William Izanov talked to the owner, and the owner lended the zeppelin to him for an amount that was smaller the usual price because it would never actually take flight. The next few years, many parties were held on the zeppelin, since he turned the whole place into a ballroom. The thing never actually took flight, that's why it was cheap. Now you know. Go away. ~
