Cermonial Grounds is for the Swiss Guard to take there oath to become a Guard of the Pope and of the Vatican: I swear I will faithfully, loyally and honourably serve the Supreme Pontiff Eugene V and his legitimate successors, and dedicate myself to them with all my strength, sacrificing, if necessary, my life to defend them.
