[PRU] Königsberg, East Prussia

Königsberg (or "King's Mountain") was the capital city of the Kingdom of Prussia until it's union with Brandenberg centuries ago. The City was taken by the Soviet Union in the years following World War 2 and renamed Kaliningrad. Few of the landmarks in the city stand today. After East Prussia gained independence from Russia, the new government, under the leadership of King Frederick IV, spent a good portion of funds in developing the city and bringing it back to its former glory, building a new palace atop the old House of Soviets and the destroyed Königsberg Castle, and constructing many new buildings and landmarks in place of the old, destroyed ones.
