"Our Blades are Sharp" The Dreadfort is a fortress in the North and the seat of House Bolton in northeastern Westeros. House Bolton of the Dreadfort had a long history of dissent and rebellion, to the point were they became known as the "Bane of the North" The Dreadfort is ill-omened, for it is said that the Boltons still keep torture chambers and a special room where they hang the flayed skins of their enemies, including several Kings in the North from House Stark. Centuries ago, the Boltons rose up against King Harlon Stark, and the Dreadfort held out for two years under siege.
