*The Vietnam Conflict: 1963 - 1975* - In a time period known as The Vietnam Conflict, the country of Vietnam was in a great struggle within its government. This ignited The Civil War, North versus South. The United States got involved within the war and supported the south due to similar ideas of government. The first group of men deployed onto the dreaded battlefield of Vietnam was known as The United States Marine Corps. - Camp Puller serves as The Marine operating base during the Vietnam Conflict. Here Marines are trained, prepared and deployed onto the battlefield.
