Qeshm Island is an Iranian island in the Strait of Hormuz, seperated from the mainland by the Clarence Strait in the Persian Gulf. It is the largest island owned by Iran. The Imperial Iranian Armed Forces are deployed here to protect Iranian interests in the gulf.
