In 1877, Saigo Takamori and his loyal samurai began a rebellion in order to show the new Japanese government that the samurai should still be part of the Japanese Armed Forces. From February 19th to April 12th, 1877, The Kumamoto Castle, located in Kumamoto, was put to siege by the samurai. Will you fight for the Emperor and crush the Satsuma Rebellion, or will you take up arms with Saigo Takamori and fight with the samurai?
