Waitakere Air Base began construction in 2016 as a civilian general aviation airport, until the assassinations of the Air field's Chief Designer, CEO, and CO, resulted in the incomplete Airport being closed and abandoned until 2020 when the TRS was founded, they raised enough funds for the runways to be extended another 5,000ft and for the runway to be extended. 4 Years later, the airbase was completed.
