Korriban was the sole planet in the Horuset system, as well as the original homeworld of the ancient Sith species. The planet was abandoned after the Jedi Civil War, but was eventually reclaimed in the beginning of the Great Galactic War, serving as a major, heavily-fortified world within the Sith Empire as well as the site of the Sith Academy and a vital Imperial outpost, loving named after a famous Sith Lord.
