Description (written by the developer; not a statement by this register)

Created by decree of 29 August 1895, the camp was inaugurated on 17 July 1896 and had only 622 ha. After several successive expropriations, it finally reached its current size only on the eve of World War I. In 2007, the 6,028-hectare camp hosted the Azur Mandate's Urban Area Action Training Center (CENZUB), which opened in September 2006.
