The Dragonpit is a huge, cavernous building that sits atop Rhaenys's hill in King's Landing. The Targaryens would keep their dragons within the building. Thirty knights could ride abreast into its entrance. No pit dragon ever reached the size of the dragons who were raised before the construction of the building. When living dragons still nested beneath the dome light would shine through the windows at night. The Dragonpit's huge dome has collapsed within and its bronze or iron doors have been sealed for more than a century. Nowadays it is used by people of the realm that wish to test their hand at the art of swordfighting for prizes, respect and glory!
