Made by CEO: creeperwimp Keflavik Airport, short for Reykjavík-Keflavík Airport, is Iceland's largest airport. Icelandair and WOW air have their 'hub' here. Easyjet also operate here. Last year, Keflavik Airport held over 6 million people last year. The airport first opened in 1943, originally by the US Military. It was named as Meek Field in honour of a young pilot who died. After the war, the airport was gained control by the Iceland council and was anmed after the nearby town "Keflavik". One of the most popular departing flights from Keflavik is to London by Easyjet. Two incidents at Keflavik have happened as since as 2013. The last one was in April 2017 when a plane skidded off an icy runway, You can only get to Keflavik Airport by road. Taxi's, rental cars and buses are available.
