Volga Island

As the old war was thought to have ended in 2005 with the anti-nuke treaty between the Soviet-Union and United States of America. The treaty was almost completely ignored after multiple anti-American insurgent groups in the Middle-East were given equipment by the CCCP. Once America went head-on with these insurgents, Soviet troops soon got involved. The conflict without weeks turned to Nuclear Weapons. Russia was hit nuclear bombs and EMPs. Russia's government with 0 way to contact their people, the country became a mess of bandits and remnants of the military and police trying to hold the country together; the situation however never got better. A small island on the Volga almost completely forgotten has no electricity and little to no people. The island gets a visitor by a group of Gov't Remnants. They try to make peace with the locals. But the situation becomes a mess of skirmishes between the two groups. It's now Dec. of 2028. The island only has a tiny population left. Explore.
