Château de Rheinsberg

Rheinsberg, County of Ruppin, Kingdom of Prussia Château de Rheinsberg/ Schloss Rheinsberg The provincial seat of the County of Ruppin, Rheinsberg was home to the court of muses held by Frederick II of Prussia during his time as the heir, when he resided in the castle from 1734 until his ascension in 1740. In 1744, the castle was bequeathed to Henry of Prussia, the younger brother of Frederick II, who remained there until his death in 1802. The castle itself gave birth to Friderician Prussia, acquiring somewhat legendary status in national history.
