BASED IN SICILY AND THE AFTEREFFECTS OF CURRENT EVENTS In 2020, with an already crumbling economy, Sicily would be majorly hit by the wide-spread pandemic. Economy crumbled, however in the new light, tourism came at an all-time high. With that, in 2023, patriotism came at an all-time high for Sicily. Economy barely recovered, a high non-tourist sentiment came on, eventually leading to small ruptures on touristy areas. Added with that came a new rising hood of (middle-east religion), where it was far more radicalized due to the nature of where Sicily is located and the area it had served for (religion) before. In 2028, a second war on terror was waged, as a major attack was done against American Citizens in Sicily in the town of Acireale. The Italian Army and American Military were deployed to the coast, setting up a forward operating base near the town of Mali. NOT MEANT TO SIMULATE ANY REAL-LIFE EVENTS.
