Castle at Kaliningrad

Model made by Kisielev Mikhail Explore the former Castle at Oblast Kaliningrad, which was located in East Prussia. It had been constructed between 1532-1569 AD by the Teutonic Knights on their conquest to colonize the baltic states. The city was a cultural center during the rule of Prussia and the German Empire, but after the second world war, the territory was annexed by the USSR. To remove any traces of Traces of it's german past, the entire german pre-war population had been deported to East Germany, and almost all of it's buildings had been demolished, including this Castle. Instead of reconstrcution, the original city had been burried underneith what is now Oblast Kaliningrad in Russia and replaced with brutalist soviet architecture, which stands there to this day.
