General Cinema Corporation, also known as General Cinema, GCC, or General Cinema Theatres, was a chain of movie theaters in the United States. General Cinema was founded by Phil Smith in 1935. General Cinema operated approximately 621 screens, some of the movie theatres have THX Sound. It operated for 67 years and counting from 1935 till it's defunct in 2002.
