Välkommen till Pajala On October 9, 1984, Pajala Municipality formed an airport group. The group's assignment was to produce a basis for an airport in the municipality with the greatest technical and financial, and communication advantages. Pajala Airport is located in the northeast part of Lappland, close to Sweden and Finland. The airport doesn't offer many routes and only serves domestic flights in Sweden. But many residences try to get away and head for short vacations, both domestic and international. Which made Jet Sweden take action and offer passengers flights to Vilhelmina in Sweden.
