Built in the 120’s under the watch of Hemmt Kanyur, Kanyur’s Rest became the heart of the former hegemony. It was once the former home of King Kanyur, and is now home to Randyl Orton, the current Duke of Kalkor. In 225 AE, after the fall of House Kanyur, subjects of the House rose up in revolt and took their rightful place in Kalkor. House Orton, from the Village of Gorya to the north successfully sieged Kanyur’s Rest after a failed attempt in 210 AE and renamed it to New Orton. Nowadays, New Orton is currently one of the centers of civilization in the eastern part of the County of Aldyar. Many important events have happened here, such as the beginning of major civil wars, as well as the countless feudal and military ceremonies which have taken place in the keep.
