𝐁𝐀𝐓𝐓𝐋𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐔𝐑𝐀𝐒𝐈𝐀𝐂𝐔𝐒 The Battle of Mount Aurasiacus was a conflict that took place in 335 BC between Alexander the Great and the Illyrian tribes of the region. The battle was one of the early military campaigns of Alexander's conquest of the Persian Empire. The battle took place on the slopes of Mount Aurasiacus, and the Macedonian army was initially caught off guard by the Illyrian attack. However, Alexander quickly regrouped his troops and launched a counterattack, breaking the Illyrian lines and forcing them to flee.
