Many animals inhabited the arena such as poisonous frogs, mosquitos, snakes, muttations created by the Capitol, and alligators which devoured the boy from District Two before making it to the final location. In the arena, the tributes faced many obstacles such as acid rain, viruses, and jabberjays which really shook up the tributes, many suffering mental breaks due to the incident.
