Talavera de la Reina

The Battle of Talavera was fought just outside the town of Talavera de la Reina, At Talavera, an Anglo-Spanish army under Sir Arthur Wellesley combined with a Spanish army under General Cuesta in operations against French-occupied Madrid. The French army withdrew at night after several of its attacks had been repulsed. The battle is set in the central area in Spain and only seventy-five miles from Madrid. The battle would soon eventually lead to an Anglo-Spanish against the French and one of the most crucial battles in the Peninsula War during the Napoleonic Wars. July 27 - 28 1809 This game will ONLY be used with battles against the British Army with the map having the Fort of Talavera, and smaller bases and forts along the way.
