𝐒𝐔𝐌𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐘 As the French invasion into Russia continues, the VI Corps, including the Bavarian divisions, is halted by the Russian general Wittgenstein. In October 1812, the Bavarian army would engage the Russians at Polotsk twice, but ultimately fail and causing the halt of Napoleon's operations in modern-day Belarus.
