Only a small portion of its past, the Colorado Central steam shop near Colorado Springs is the remaining maintenance facility for CC and CB&Q steam locomotives. Work to rebuild a portion of the Roundhouse is in progress so the steam locomotives can stay inside during the harsh weather of the state. For now, the steam locomotives are located around the state. If you look around, you will see the newest project for the CC. Men work early days and late nights to make sure the big engine gets completed soon.
