With approximately 1600 hectares, the Marnewaard training area is one of the largest training areas in the Netherlands. The terrain consists of forests, dirt roads and large areas of open terrain, equipped for tracked and wheeled vehicles. There is also a shooting range, a training village and a military base (The Willem Lodewijk van Nassau Barracks).
