Battle of Adelgunz

𝐒𝐘𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒𝐈𝐒 The Battle of Adelgunz was one of the first major battles that took place in the region that was fought between Konstanz & Bavaria. After the declaration of war by Bavaria against Konstanz in 1805, the Bavarian forces began advancing into Lindau. In an attempt to counter the offensive the Konstanz forces began to rally at Adelgunz to protect the strategic town of Hergatz which sat behind it. Defences and lines of soldiers were established along the River and ahead at the Adelgunz Lane which provided excellent cover for the infantry.
