𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐆𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐀 The Engagement at Issa was a naval battle that took place in 180 BC between the Illyrian navy and a combined Roman fleet. During the battle, the Roman navy initially had the advantage, but the Illyrians managed to turn the tide by using grappling hooks to board the enemy ships. The battle ended with a decisive Illyrian victory, and the Roman fleet suffered heavy losses.
