🌿 𝐏𝐑𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐃𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐅 𝐌𝐀𝐘𝐍𝐈𝐋𝐀 𝐁𝐄𝐅𝐎𝐑𝐄 𝐒𝐏𝐀𝐍𝐈𝐒𝐇 𝐎𝐂𝐂𝐔𝐏𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 🌿 Circa 1571. The ancient city of Maynila, according to oral tradition, this city was formed by Rajah Avirjirkaya; a Majapahit puppet leader, and was defeated by Rajah Ahmad in 1258. Once under the control of the northerners of the Pasig River, Sultan Bolkiah defeated the northerners and paved the way for a new nation by the name of Maynila. Some wrongly call it "Maynilad" naming it after a water hyacinth.
