The Cosmos Research Corporation would expand its horizons and establish a regional office in New Haven, Connecticut and New Orleans, Louisiana; construction commencing for CRC’s first venture in the energy sector. Plans were filed for a nuclear power plant under the name “Legasov Nuclear Power Station” in tribute to Valery Legasov, and plans were approved for the site in the off-skirts of New Orleans. Units of LNPS went online in 1989 after an egregious building process and going through multiple evaluations for safety regulations.
