Aira Kanoya Air Force Base 姶良鹿屋航空基地 AFB Aira Kanoya is the center for advanced fighter jet testing and training located in the cities of Aira and Kanoya in Kagoshima Prefecture. Currently the only occupants of both bases are the TRADOC's 3rd Aggressor Squadron & 4th Tactical Fighter Squadron under the 1st Fighter Wing. The adjacent airbase (Kanoya) serves as an international logistics stopping point. AIRA, ARI NYKA, NKY
