Due to mass nuclear exchange during the 'War of Ashes' and the following collapse of the DEFNET defense system, the majority of the world was left in ruins, with some areas becoming completely inhospitable. You are living in a bunker alongside a diverse group of other survivors, set up sometime in the mid 2030s by Delta Corporation.
