Louisiana, 1756

New France was a French colony in North America established in 1534 when French expeditionaries landed in the Gaspé peninsula and declared it French territory under the responsibility of the seat of power in Versailles. During the British claims in North America a small contingent of the British Army entered to New France by mistake and were arrested by local Militia troops with the purpose of being judged in New Orleans. The accident escalated tensions between the British and the French, making both nations to place their troops along the borders of Louisiana, waiting for the order to attack.
