The establishment is surrounded by a town that people considered to be 'drained'. Harold R. Woodland, a visionary philanthropist and educator, established the Academy with the noble aim of providing students from all walks of life with a first-class education. Harold R. Woodland is the founder and first headmaster of Woodland. Driven by his passion for learning, Woodland spared no expense in constructing a grand campus, complete with state-of-the-art facilities and a sprawling campus. CURRENT YEAR: 1987
