East Kemmuna Beach Landing, 1936

After a massive joint bombardment campaign by the Royal Italian Navy, the Royal Italian Air Force and - discretely - the German Air Force, the Italians, their Libyan colonial troops and the foreign expeditionaries launched a large-scale naval invasion of the Maltese Isles. In the style of David versus Goliath, a newly independent Maltese nation's freshly established army comes face-to-face against a much larger combined fascist military force, which seeks to extinguish the torch of the Mediterranean democracy in favour of fulfilling the twisted ambitions of the Italian Duce. This is one of many battles during those naval landings, set in the eastern part of the smallest island of Malta - Kemmuna (or Comino).
