A winding river valley with lush green scenary. Lake Otahko (Yellow lake) sits to the east of the valley which where the Otahko dam was built in 1942 by the U.S Army Corps of Engineers. Before the area was discovered by pioneers and fur trappers. It had been settled by Crow and SIoux native tribes.
