Description (written by the developer; not a statement by this register)
The Gates typically refers to a gruesome fictional scenario often found in horror literature or folklore, characterized by a haunted or cursed gate that leads to an ominous location, such as a derelict mansion or eerie forest. Legend suggests that those who dare to cross the threshold encounter terrifying supernatural phenomena, including ghostly apparitions, unsettling sounds, and nightmarish visions, often resulting in dire consequences for intruders. The story often encapsulates themes of fear, forbidden curiosity, and the consequences of disturbing the unknown.
