The Battle for Lypovec was a armed meeting between the units of the Slovak Army and troops of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It was one of the first major battles between the Soviets and Slovaks. With around 5000 soldiers, 43 tanks and around 123 cannons the Slovak Fast Brigade was able to capture Lypovec. With the next clash, Slovak tanks ran out of fuel, the Slovak soldiers were only saved by the artillery which decimated most of the Soviet units.
