Philippines, 1897 They’ve had enough. Last night, explosions erupted across the city—many of them, all set off by the rebels! Now it’s daylight, but smoke, flames, and destruction creep through the city as the rebels scale our walls. The lone civil guards stationed within the walled city are the empire’s last hope, defending the remnants of a once-mighty power. This game draws inspiration from real events, based on the Filipinos attempt to capture Manila and end foreign rule in a decisive blow (The entire place is alternate history). While historically, Intramuros remained unconquered by the rebels, although efforts were indeed made. This story serves as a prelude to the Philippine-American War, set to happen two years later with the Philippine Revolution already in motion.
