On july 5th 2024, the british army SAS set forwards operating base located in the Helmand Province region of Afghanistan to start patrolling the area. The operation ended on january 25th 2025. Every regiment is allowed to patrol the grounds of the area but air vehicles are prohibited from using any weaponry if no active operation/ action is occurring.
