Beyond the Sun

Space sandbox, simulator, and exploration game. Build a spaceship from parts you hand-crafted. Become a pirate, or jump from station to station selling goods. Explore a procedurally-generated galaxy. Engage with NPC's and dynamic quests. Nothing is mandatory, do anything you want! Extra command/control help is in-game. The jets are only temporary, until the custom ship building tool is working. The jets are there so you can see the planet shader effect -- climb to about 8000 altitude and then turn around, back towards the planet, to see the shader.
