The Sejm of the Republic of Poland

🌿 The Sejm of the Republic of Poland is the lower house of the Polish Parliament, with the main responsibility of passing laws, overseeing the government’s activities, and representing the citizens. It consists of 460 members (MPs) who are elected in general elections for a four-year term. The Sejm also has the right to initiate legislation and supervises other state institutions. The Sejm's sessions are held in the building on Wiejska Street in Warsaw. MPs participate in parliamentary committees, where draft laws are analyzed in detail, and they also have the opportunity to question members of the government. The Sejm also plays a role in the impeachment process of the President of the Republic of Poland.
