The Border Military Academy "Cananea-Agua Prieta" is a Mexican Army base located in Sonora, on Federal Highway No. 2, km 2.5. It is part of the 45th Military Zone and its mission is the security and defense of the border region. In addition to its operational functions, it organizes community events and participates in civic ceremonies.
