Fort Avry, Octavium

- FORT AVRY - Tucked in a valley in the Pyrenees Mountains, Fort Avry was originally used as a training ground for the Octavian People's-State led by PaterickJSmith during the Octavian Civil War. During this time, it was called Fort Andorran. After Octavium was reunified under Aleczaender, Fort Andorran was renamed to Fort León, paying homage to the symbol of Aleczaender's Richterism, the lion. In 1954, Octavian revolutionaries fighting for the Revolutionary Federation of Octavium stormed the under-defended fortress and took it for their own use. They constructed offices and redid the interiors to many buildings, as well as hanging up many new flags to replace the Octavian ones. Finally, the Statue of Aleczaender in front of the administrative building was torn down, and replaced with a statue of the former Marshal of the PRAO, GiovanniReggio, and the former Libertador of the PRAO, Avry. It is for this great leader that the base was finally renamed to Fort Avry, honoring him forever.
