The Glen of Imaal is the principal live-fire range and largest weapons training area of the Irish Defence Forces. Units using the area are based out of the nearby O'Toole Camp. It is located in the Wicklow Mountains. Safety Guidelines - Stay on marked routes at all times. - Do not touch or disturb any military ordnance. - Report any shells, illegal activity, or safety concerns - Walkers use the area at their own risk and should be properly equipped for mountain conditions. - Red flags, flashing lights, and sentries are used to indicate live firing. - Entry is strictly prohibited when these warnings are in place.
