Shiganshina District is a walled town situated on the southern edge of Wall Maria. Designed in a semi-circular shape jutting out from the main wall, it served both as a residential area and a strategic decoy to lure Titans away from more populated regions. Its outer and inner gates controlled access to the interior of human territory. Starting from this point, the Scouting Legion departed in order to set a route outside the Walls, into Titan territory.
