𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗠𝗲𝘀𝗮 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 Black Mesa National Laboratories is a government-owned/contractor-operated facility that is part of the U.S. Department of Energy's national laboratory complex. The SIMO Corporation manages it on behalf the DOE's National Nuclear Security Administration. Black Mesa's primary focus is national security research, such as nuclear weapons, biomedical research, and materials sciences. Black Mesa's New Mexico location (BMNL/NM) is located in the expansive Pueblo Mountain range, adjacent to the city of Black Mesa and also borders Joint Base Pueblo.
